100 Year Old Applesauce Cake

To celebrate the day, I made a recipe of Grandma's. It just came out of the oven, and has the entire house smelling wonderful! Here's the recipe:

100 Year Old Applesauce Cake

1 cup applesauce
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups flour
1 tsp each of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg
1 cup raisins

Combine ingredients and pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for about an hour.

  1. The applesauce isn't a 100 years old is it? Just the recipe? ;)

    Looks yummy!

  2. Will this recipe work without the raisins?
