4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup milk
2 tsp. vanilla
Microwave chocolate in a small bowl on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth. Cool 5 minutes or until room temperature.
Add sugar, butter, and vanilla. Gradually beat in milk with electric mixer on low speed until well blended. If frosting becomes too thick, beat in additional milk by teaspoonfuls until of spreading consistency. Makes 3 cups frosting.
