Beer Bread

This bread is really a quick bread with no kneading, and no yeast. No Yeast? Yep... that's where the beer comes in.

3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbls. baking powder
3 Tbls. sugar
12 ounce can or bottle of beer

Preheat oven to 375 F. Mix all together. Pour into lightly sprayed bread pan. Melt 1/3 stick butter, and pour over the top. Bake for 40 minutes. Melt another 1/3 stick butter. Pour over top, and return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Melt the last 1/3 stick of butter, and pour over the top. Bake 5- 10 minutes longer. Serve warm.
